Owner and Organization

Kalmar Airport Inc (KAAB) is a company owned by Kalmar Municipality whose responsibilities are maintenance, administration and development of the airport. KAAB is a subsidiary of “Kalmar Kommunbolag AB”.

Comprehensive management is the responsibility of KAAB’s Executive Board which is composed of 7 members and 5 replacements. The Director of the Board is Ronny Nilsson.

KAAB’s management organization is led by the Head of the Airport and Chief Executive Officer Hans Hjertonsson. Activities are organized according to department, Staff or Technical Operations. Claes Göran Kungberg is Chief of Staff as well as Deputy CEO. Ronny Lindberg is Managing Director of Technical Operations.

Airport station services are carried out by SAS Ground Services (SGS) commissioned by KAAB through a specific contract.

Air Traffic Control (ATS) is conducted by LFV commissioned by KAAB through a specific contract.

Police and Customs Authorities are active at the airport as a result of regulation by law.

Other parties with a secondary affiliation to operative activities at the airport must enter into a contractual relationship with KAAB.
